ACTION: Notice and request for comments.
SUMMARY: In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) regulations at 5 CFR part 1320, this notice announces the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service's intention to revise a currently approved information collection entitled, ``Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service Application Kit for Research and Extension Programs''.
DATES: Written comments on this notice must be received by January 9, 2009, to be assured of consideration. Comments received after that date will be considered to the extent practicable.

SUMMARY: This notice announces an open meeting of the Biomass Research and Development Technical Advisory Committee under the Biomass Research and Development Act of 2000. The Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-463, 86 Stat. 770) requires that agencies publish these notices in the Federal Register to allow for public participation.

ACTION: Notice of Public Meetings of the Invasive Species Advisory Committee.
SUMMARY: Pursuant to the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, notice is hereby given of meetings of the Invasive Species Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to provide advice to the National Invasive Species Council, as authorized by Executive Order 13112, on a broad array of issues related to preventing the introduction of invasive species and providing for their control and minimizing the economic, ecological, and human health impacts that invasive species cause. The Council is co-chaired by the Secretary of the Interior, the Secretary of Agriculture, and the Secretary of Commerce. The duty of the Council is to provide national leadership regarding invasive species issues. The purpose of a meeting on November 18-19, 2008 is to convene the full Advisory Committee and to discuss implementation of action items outlined in the 2008-2012 National Invasive Species Management Plan, which was finalized on August 1, 2008.
DATES: Meeting of the Invasive Species Advisory Committee: Tuesday, November 18 through Wednesday, November 19, 2008; beginning at approximately 8 a.m., and ending at approximately 5 p.m. each day. General Session on both days will be held in the Chesapeake Room.
