Education Office

AIBS is dedicated to improving biological science literacy at all levels of formal and informal education. AIBS is working toward meeting this goal through a number of initiatives by recognizing teaching professionals, collaborating with other organizations, disseminating information, publishing teaching resources to improve biology education, and encouraging students to pursue careers in biology.

Policy Issues Related to Teaching Evolution

The AIBS Public Policy Office monitors and responds to public policy initiatives that can hinder science educators' ability to teach science and the ability of students to gain an understanding of the scientific process and the world in which they live. To learn more about efforts to defend science education, please visit our Public Policy webpage.
