SPARS Reviews Innovative State of New York Stem Cell Research

SPARS continues to manage the peer review of proposals submitted to the State of New York Stem Cell Research Program. This year, on-site meetings will bring together stem cell scientists representing a diversity of academic institutions to review two complementary awards: Fellow-to-Faculty and Institutional Training. Fellow-to-Faculty awards provide funding for postdoctoral training in stem cell-relevant research, while $7.5 million will go to four Institutional Training awards to support pre-doctoral, institutionally-based training programs and related research efforts.
