For the tenth year, AIBS SPARS will manage the peer review of clinical and translational research submitted to the Flight Attendant Medical Research Institute for the 2011-2012 funding cycle. Research this year will focus on chronic sinusitis, cilia abnormalities, chronic bronchitis, COPD, emphysema, asthma/allergies, chronic auto immune diseases: their etiology and pathogenesis. FAMRI seeks to establish a protocol useful to all health care professionals for inquiry regarding second hand tobacco smoke exposure.
