Science Office

The AIBS Science Office performs predominantly grant-funded work in support of biological research that is of large scope, national / international impact, and cross-disciplinary. Special focus is on Large Facility Projects with the National Science Foundation and the NSF Major Research Equipment and Facilities Construction (MREFC) Account.

Science Office activities are currently focused on the National Ecological Observatory Network project (NEON) and related work involving distributed research and information networks. AIBS members and grant-making entities are encouraged to contact AIBS to pursue partnerships centered on these areas of interest.
