    ACTION: Notice of meeting.


    SUMMARY: The Forestry Research Advisory Council (FRAC) will meet in Washington, DC The Council is required by Section 1441 of the Agriculture and Food Act of 1981 to provide advice to the Secretary of Agriculture on accomplishing efficiently the purposes of the Act of October 10, 1962 (16 U.S.C. 582a, et seq.), commonly known as the McIntire-Stennis Act of 1962. The Council also provides advice relative to the Forest Service research program, authorized by the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Research Act of 1978 (Pub. L. 95-307, 92 Stat. 353, as amended; 16 U.S.C. 1600 (note)). FRAC information can be found at the following Web site: http://fs.fed.us/research/about/forestry-research-council/.

    DATES: The meeting will be held February 23-24, 2016, at the following times:

    SUMMARY: Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act, Public Law 92- 463, notice is hereby given that the Good Neighbor Environmental Board will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, February 10 and Thursday, February 11, 2016 in Brownsville, TX. The meeting is open to the public.

    DATES: The Good Neighbor Environmental Board will hold an open meeting on Wednesday, February 10 from 9:00 a.m. (registration at 8:30 a.m.) to 5:30 p.m. The following day, Thursday, February 11, the Board will meet from 8:30 a.m. (registration at 8:00 a.m.) until 2:00 p.m.

    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

    Background: The Good Neighbor Environmental Board (Board) is a federal advisory committee chartered under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, PL 92463. By statute, the Board is required to submit an annual report to the President and Congress on environmental and infrastructure issues along the U.S. border with Mexico.

    Purpose of Meeting: The purpose of this meeting is to begin discussion on the Good Neighbor Environmental Board's Seventeenth Report. The report will focus on climate change resiliency in the U.S.- Mexico border region.

    SUMMARY: The Environmental Protection Agency has submitted an information collection request (ICR), "CEQ-EPA Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators Application (New)" (EPA ICR No. 2524.01, OMB Control No. 2090-NEW) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.). This is a request for approval of a new collection. Public comments were previously requested via the Federal Register (80 FR 48101) on August 11, 2015 during a 60-day comment period. This notice allows for an additional 30 days for public comments. A fuller description of the ICR is given below, including its estimated burden and cost to the public. An Agency may not conduct or sponsor and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number.

    SUMMARY: The North American Wetlands Conservation Council (Council) will meet via teleconference to select North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA) U.S. small grant proposals for reporting to the Migratory Bird Conservation Commission (Commission). This teleconference is open to the public, and interested persons may present oral or written statements.

  • Reopening of Nomination Period for State Government Members of the Advisory Committee on Climate Change and Natural Resource Science

    SUMMARY: On October 19, 2015, the U.S. Department of the Interior published a notice inviting nominations for non-Federal members of the Advisory Committee on Climate Change and

    Natural Resource Science (Committee). The closing date for nominations was January 15, 2016. This Federal Register Notice reopens the nomination and comment period for an additional 30 days, for state government nominees only. If you have already submitted information to be considered for appointment to the Committee you do not have to resubmit it.

    DATES: Written nominations must be received by February 22, 2016.
