AIBS weighed in on a recent directive by Scott Pruitt, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The letter pushes back against a new prohibition on scientists who receive funding from the EPA being able to serve on the agency's science advisory boards.

Pruitt issued the directive on 31 October and cited concerns about the objectivity of researchers who simultaneously receive agency funding and serve on an advisory board.
