This a preparatory event for those interested in the Ecology & Education Summit: "Environmental Literacy for a Sustainable World" taking place October 14-15, 2010 in Washington DC. You can register for the Summit by going to: Summit Registration.
Participants in this webinar-based event will hear from the authors of the 2009 NSF report "Transitions and Tipping Points in Complex Environmental Systems" who will provide an introduction to the report and its recommendations specific to environmental literacy. They will share examples of projects that are moving these recommendations forward. Participants will have multiple opportunities to discuss how the report's educational recommendations and what is being learning from existing projects can inform the conversations at the Ecology & Education Summit, October 14th-15th in Washington DC.
Donations from individuals who participate in our programs help us provide additional programming. Please help us host more of these important conversations by making a donation to AIBS today.
