The AIBS Public Policy Office defends against the politicization of science, upholds peer review and other scientific best management practices, and helps to frame a sound vision for federal biological research and education. We also work to ensure that policymakers understand the importance of investing in biological sciences research. Through testimony to Congress, comments to federal decision-makers, and grassroots advocacy efforts we help policymakers understand the importance of fundamental and applied research to our nation's well-being.

We also provide scientists, educators and policymakers with timely policy news and analysis through the bi-weekly AIBS Public Policy Report, the Washington Watch column in the journal BioScience, and the AIBS Legislative Action Center.
