Science Groups Congratulate, Offer Support to OSTP Director

AIBS has joined a group of scientific organizations in sending a letter to Dr. Eric Lander congratulating him on his confirmation to the position of Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). The letter also affirms the organizations’ interest in being involved in the Administration’s efforts to bring changes to the scientific enterprise.

“We strongly agree with the President’s January 20th letter that declared we must ensure the fruits of science and technology must be fully shared by all Americans,” write the groups. “As scientific organizations, we are fully prepared to continue this progress and be a part of this pioneering moment in the American scientific enterprise.”
