Apply today for the AIBS Diana Wall Graduate Student Publication Award. This annual award is granted to a graduate student (master’s or PhD candidate) who has served as the lead author of a peer-reviewed article published in BioScience during the preceding calendar year.

Are you a science graduate student looking to make a difference in science policy and funding? The American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS) is now accepting applications for the 2021 Emerging Public Policy Leadership Award. This award recognizes graduate students in the biological sciences who are demonstrating an interest and aptitude for working at the intersection of science and policy.

AIBS has been awarded a Standard Grant from the National Science Foundation on the science of peer review entitled: “Reliability, Risk Aversion, and Bias in Grant Peer Review”.

The American Institute of Biological Sciences is honored to receive a Special Service Award for advocacy on behalf of scientific collections from the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC). The Award was presented on May 31, 2019, in conjunction with the SPNHC annual meeting in Chicago, Illinois. Sharing the recognition with AIBS is the Natural Science Collections Alliance (NSC Alliance).
